Frequently asked questions
Straight answers, including the uncomfortable ones.
Yes — the link scanner is free with a daily limit (10 scans per day), no account required. Premium raises the limits and unlocks bulk scanning, watchlists, API access and scan history. See Pricing.
Yes. Scanning happens on our servers, not in your browser. We fetch headers, follow redirects and look up domain data — we don't execute the page's JavaScript in your browser or download files to your device. That's the whole point: let us touch the suspicious link so you don't have to.
No. "Safe" means our checks found no known threat signals — it is an assessment, not a guarantee. Brand-new phishing pages may not be on any blocklist yet, and legitimate sites can be compromised. Treat every unexpected link with caution, and read our phishing-spotting guide.
It means we genuinely couldn't retrieve that piece of data — for example the domain's WHOIS record was redacted for privacy, a DNS lookup timed out, or a threat feed was unreachable. We label it honestly instead of guessing or inventing values.
Scan records (URL, verdict, score, timestamp) are stored so we can show you scan history and shareable reports. We don't sell scan data, and you can request deletion via contact. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Yes — the QR scanner lets you upload a QR image or use your camera. We decode the payload and automatically scan the URL hidden inside.
Yes — paste the whole email into the email checker. It extracts every link and returns a per-link verdict table. Premium users get bulk scanning, which processes them in a single request.
A Premium feature on your account page: save domains you care about (your brand, vendors, banks) and re-check them on demand to see their last known status and when they were last checked.
Yes. Premium accounts can create API keys and call POST /api/v1/scan with a Bearer token to get the full verdict JSON. See the API docs for a curl example.
From your account page, use "Manage subscription" to open the Paddle customer portal, where you can cancel anytime. Your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Don't panic — but act quickly. See the "What to do if you already clicked" section of our phishing guide: disconnect, don't enter credentials, change passwords from a clean device, enable two-factor authentication, and watch your accounts.
